By registering for our Member-Connect platform you agree that we will collect and process personal data about you, types of which are outlined below. You also agree to our rules around the information and discussions you will find on the platform.

Platform discussions and other information: Member-Connect is a stand-alone member forum platform which promotes open dialogue, debate and discussion in a member only environment. Whilst the Society has provided the platform, it does not monitor the content of conversations and therefore relies on members to be courteous and respectful to each other, and to report poor practice.

By signing up to Member-Connect, you agree not to copy or publicly share content, and to adhere to the terms and conditions as set out by the Society in the "Terms of Use" statement on the website.

The Society reserves the right to revoke a members access if any of the above conditions are breached.

Forename and Surname - Being a business social platform, it is important that our members can be identified by their real name, to build meaningful business relationships. This is why we ask that you provide us with your real name.

Your postal/zip code - Our new website makes extensive use of your location to give you a personalised experience and show your local events, members and offers that you are more likely to be interested in. For this, we ask that you give us your postal/zip code, whilst this is not mandatory, you will not experience the full benefit of the platform if this is not provided.

Your company/organisation - The more information you put in your profile the more likely members will want to connect or with you.

Your photo – This adds personality to your profile, entices people to connect with you and might be beneficial when attending events off-line. However, it is not mandatory you add this.

Contact Details – Such as telephone number, social media profiles etc may aid you in networking and building relationships. However, it is not mandatory you add these.

Posting - By posting on our platform, your comments and a limited profile become available for other members to see. Please note you can delete any comments should you wish these to be removed from public view.
